if you're experiencing difficulty reaching full penetrative intercourse or feeling too anxious to try, pelvic floor physiotherapy can help. painful sex, also known as 'dyspareunia' describes persistent or recurrent genital pain experienced before, during and/or after vaginal intercourse. dyspareunia can be at the entrance and/or deep in the vagina.
we start by taking the time to learn about your pain and whether it might be associated with an event (childbirth, endometriosis, menopause, trauma) or due to overactive pelvic floor muscles. we also take the time to learn about your goals are concerns.
